Andrea Sheldon Lafferty is the CEO and President of Thrive America, a nonprofit dedicated to renewing America’s cultural and spiritual foundations.

A former Capitol Hill staffer and Reagan and Bush appointee, Andrea brings decades of experience as a legislative strategist, policy expert, and national advocate. Her calling has always centered on cultural renewal, particularly among the next generation, where she sees both the challenge and the hope for America’s future.

 She is known for her creative, faith-driven strategies that equip citizens to influence culture and government for the good of the nation.

Throughout her career, Andrea has united diverse leaders—from lawmakers and pastors to teachers and parents—to advance truth and freedom with conviction and grace. Her work has been featured on The West Wing, in Showtime’s Strange Justice, and in national media.

Andrea previously served as President of the Traditional Values Coalition and Women for a Great America, and she has led a ministry serving homeless families. Her work consistently pairs courageous advocacy with compassionate service.

Andrea lives on Capitol Hill with her dog Lily. She is a proud mother, a widow, and is known among friends for her big heart, her hospitality, and her legendary chocolate chip cookies.
